Deep Impact

Deep Impact is the latest mission from NASA, NASA fired an impactor (satellite) at the comet Tempel 1 as a part of a scientific mission.

Is it some for some costly fireworks and some
cool pictures?
. I don't hope so...The claim is that this probe could help scientists understand our universe better.

Well, whether we understand our universe better or not somebody is worried about her horoscope changing because of the comet's damage.

Whatever it is, I think that trying to understand the universe through some scientific experiments is like looking into room through a keyhole and trying to extrapolate what is inside. This link (slower because of applet) gives an idea of how big universe could be... this is what a simulation of a spec of the universe looks like. I cannot imagine how big it actually is.

Will be able to ever understand how universe began? Are the scientists trying to do something futile? Especially with respect to trying to understand universe and stuff, science has been a sequence of fallacies. If I were born ages back I would have believed that earth is flat and that earth is the centre of the solar system. Now I know it is not true anymore. So maybe
whatever we discover today might not hold good after several generations to come [.][!][?]

Ansh
Thanks !
I think, there is no right "way" or wrong "way" when it comes to research ! Mostly you end up doing things which noone has done before...for deciding right or wrong you need another one on the same track to compare with...since it is not present there is no right or wrong way..

Ofcourse I could be wrong here ;) !
